District 11 &21

District 11comprises many exclusive private housing areas, large reservoirs, renowned  schools and religious buildings. It is a place where Singaporeans can enjoy  myriad  facilities  that cater to their everyday  needs. There are many  amenities such as the Novena Square Shopping Mall, Novena Medical Centre and United  Square (a kid oriented  mall).

District 21 is a district  where education is the main focus, comprises of Upper Bukit  Timah and Clementi. Besides educational institutions, this district is home to Singapore’s rich  foliage, sub-urban shopping centres and an equestrian club.

Raffles Place

Located  close  to  Marina  Bay, in the Downtown Core and Central Area is Raffles Place, named after the founder of  Singapore. The famous  landmarks  and  skyscrapers  of  Singapore, including UOB  Plaza, OUB Centre, Republic Plaza, One Raffles  Quay and OCBC Centre.Singapore’s monument, the Merlion and the durian shaped  Art  Centre  Esplanade Theatre  are  just a stone’s  throw away. The Singapore  Exchange – the stock  exchange of  Singapore is also situated in Raffles  Place. Key landmarks  close  to  the area include the Parliament  House, the old Supreme Court  building and CityHall.

The construction of Singapore’s first casino is underway, part of the much-anticipated Marina Sands Integrated Resort, a world-class resort making up of theatres, exhibition centres, museums and luxury shopping outlets. Marina Bay is set to be a leading  business  centre in the region, catering to the international crowd with its top-notch offerings.

Marina  Bay Sands was one of two winning proposals for Singapore's first  integrated  resorts, the other being the Resorts World Sentosa, which incorporates Universal  Studios Theme Park.

VivoCity(怡丰城) is the  largest shopping mall in Singapore. Located in the HarbourFront precinct, VivoCity's iconic architecture sets it apart from the traditional box format of many existing retail developments in the region. The Sky Park has been a popular place for all walks of life since its opening. ThePlay Court and the open spaces in the mall are popular with families andchildren. It is also a place popular to view Sentosa


District 9 & 10

Orchard  Road

Orchard Road is the world-renowned  shopping district in Singapore. The road got its names from the orchards and plantations that used to exist in the area up until the 20th century. The 1970s was a golden age for Orchard as pioneering landmarks  such as C.K.Tangs, Plaza Singapura and Mandarin Hotel were erected along the road. Towards the eastern  Bras Basah end of Orchard Road lies colonial architecture and historical  museums.

River Valley

River Valley is a residential area  with private properties for the middle and high income earners of the population. It is located  north of Orchard Boulevard, Devonshire Road and Eber Road, the south of Martin Road and Singapore River and the west of Hoot Kiam Road and Grange Road.

Bukit Timah

Bukit Timah, a favourite among property owners, it has a number of luxury bungalows and condominiums in the area. The area is mainly populated by expatriates or well-to-do Singaporeans as it is expensive to own landed properties in Singapore.

Every year in December, tourists and locals alike flock to Orchard Road to view its magnificent, elaborate Christmas decorations. The decorations are always picture perfect, sometimes a little over  the  top because of its extravagant winter theme situated in a sunny and tropical  country. Shopping complexes at Orchard include Wheelock Place, C.K.Tangs, Wisma Atria, Lucky Plaza, Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya, Paragon, The Heeren and Plaza Singapura.

A number of educational  institutionscan be found in Bukit Timah including Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road),Singapore Chinese Girls' School, Methodist Girls' School, Hwa Chong Institution, National Junior College, Raffles Girls' Primary School, Nanyang Primary School, Nanyang Girls' High School, Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School and Saint Joseph's Institution, amongst others. Fine dining and prominent bars can be found in Holland Village and it provides good food and entertainment.
